Facts On Tap exists for one reason: the internet is drowning in “fun facts” that simply aren’t true. We fix that.

We’re a small team of curious writers and editors who love a good rabbit hole — and hate misinformation. Every article you read here starts as genuine curiosity and ends only after each claim has been checked against reputable sources: scientific bodies, museums, universities, primary records and the occasional very patient expert.

What makes us different

• Every fact is checked. If we can’t verify it, it doesn’t make the cut. When we correct a popular myth, we say so.
• We cite our sources. Look for the “Sources & further reading” box at the bottom of every article.
• We keep it fun. Accurate doesn’t have to mean boring. Facts should make you go “wait, really?”

How we work
